Wilson Staff Spine Driver
$300.00
Released September, 2008
The Pros:A club that's easy for higher handicap golfers to hit. Great value.
The Cons:Sound upon impact is a little tinny.
The Wilson Staff Spine Driver is a driver with a high moment of inertia (MOI) that gives long and accurate results. It achieves a high MOI and low center of gravity (CG) by redistributing weight from the center of the crown to the perimeter, resulting in the industry's first truly perimeter weighted driver with a higher MOI and lower CG than traditional 460cc drivers.

The low CG gives a higher launch angle and lower drive spin while the perimeter weighting gives greater forgiveness. A unique "spine", or ridge line, reinforces the face behind the impact area for greater ball speeds and the proprietary variable face thickness gives a much larger sweet spot. There are 3 flex options available and 3 shaft options. The Wilson Staff Spine Driver is also available in women's models and in fairway woods.
