Released November, 2008
The Pros:Large improvement over the original design. Affordable compared to other high end drivers. Very low center of gravity.
The Cons:Somewhat expensive for the amateur golfer.
The Ping Rapture V2 Hybrid is a set of hybrid clubs designed to give players maximum forgiveness for extreme game improvement. In order to achieve a consistently more forgivinng and higher launch, Ping has designed these hybrids with a dense 112g Tungsten sole plate, which holds 48% of the clubs mass, and pushes the CG as low as possible.

The sloped crown design further helps push the CG lower and back into the club. A larger head and longer face gives and increased MOI for improved accuracy and confidence. There are 4 lofts available; 17°, 20°, 23° and 27°, which replace 2 to 5 irons and 5 to 9 fairway woods. The Ping Rapture V2 Hybrid is designed to seamlessly blend into Ping's Rapture V2 iron set, replacing the long or mid irons.
