Nike VR Tour Driver
$480.00
Released February, 2010
The Pros:Great driver for those who generate a high swing speed. Aesthetically appealing clubhead.
The Cons:Not the best driver for beginner golfers.
The Nike VR Tour Driver is a graphite driver that features Nike Compression Channel Technology, which increases the overall compression of the body, thereby producing increased ball speeds across the entire face.

This essentially allows for the power of a 460cc head with “incredible shot-shaping capability.” Unlike its peer, the STR8-FIT Tour Driver, the original VR Tour Driver (released also in February 2010) doesn't host STR8-FIT Face Angle Technology with 32 face-angle positions. However, it does feature a pear-shape head for 'visual confidence' and shot-shaping execution, as well as a tour-velvet full-cord grip for a firm and weather-resistant grip that allows for consistent performance and playability.
Additional Information
The driver uses a Project X shaft with 3 divided zones, each zone utilizing different technology to optimize performance. The butt-section uses Hex-Axial Reinforcement Technology for unmatched cross-sectional stability. The mid-section uses a Constant Taper Design that eliminates localized bending and creates even loading and unloading. And the tip-section uses an elongated double wrapped 55 MSI Reinforcement for a firmer tip section, thereby minimizing droop, lag, and backspin.
