Callaway FT-5 Driver
$499.00
Released February, 2007
The Pros:OptiFit Weighting System gives golfers the choice of 3 center of gravity locations depending on their ball flight tendency (draw, fade, neutral). Titanium cup face with variable wall thickness increases the size of the sweet spot and limits distance loss on off-center hits. Fusion Technology strategically positions 50 grams of weight around the perimeter to produce a high MOI and a more stable clubhead at impact.
The Cons:Loud unpleasant sound at impact. Hard to find as it is an aged driver no longer being manufactured by Callaway.
The FT-5 Driver is the latest evolution in clubead design and innovative technology from Callaway. Callaway utilizes Fusion Technology and Optiweight fitting system to give golfers increased customization to match their specific swing.

Fusion Technology creates 50 grams of discretionary weight in the clubead. There is a 25 gram weight located at the back of the clubhead designed to lower the center-of-gravity for optimal trajectory. The driver is similar to the Callaway FT-i Driver except it has a more traditional round head shape and wider clubface.
